Data Exchange

A data exchange (also called data marketplace) is a software platform that facilitates the technical exchange of data assets between data consumers and data providers. While the terms data exchange and data marketplace are frequently used interchangeably, there's a slight difference in the connotation: The term data marketplace is rather associated with the commercial transaction of data, while the data exchange is mostly associated with the technical transaction (moving data securely from data provider to data consumer).
